GIRL’S NIGHT
OUT...OH YEAH! (OR GUY’S NIGHT OUT!):
Get four or more of your best gal or guy pals together
and have a fusing class. Call Bob, our on staff certified instructor,
and schedule your date and time. In one evening you all will create
an individual piece of glass art that will become a topic of conversation
for many years to come. Bring your own food and beverage it’s
totally informal and fun.
INTRO TO STAINED
GLASS:
This 5 week course will introduce you to glass cutting,
copper foil (tape) techniques and the lead came (channels) technique
of stained glass. You will construct a stained glass panel project
in each technique. Come and learn from the professionals. We offer
beginners, intermediate and advance stained glass classes.
FUSED GLASS:
Introduction to kiln formed fused glass classes will
take you on a 4 week course working with glass that’s specially
made to be “fused together”, (not all glass is compatible)
when heated (fired) in a kiln. You will enjoy designing your own
creations from jewelry to art pieces with frit, noodles, stringer,
and many other unique art glasses especially developed for compatibility
when fusing.
HOW TO…QUICKLY
FOR
THOSE WHO HAVE’NT MUCH TIME.
These classes are one day for 3 hours, in an array of
topics. Each session is an introduction to a specific area of
glass art interest. You will be learning terms and basic techniques
and a lot of “How To” experience. Some topics of How

MOSAIC:
You will begin with a basic project of your choosing
in this newly popular ancient art form. Learn how to use glass
and tile cutting and nipping tools, adhesives and grouts safely
and properly.
MOSAIC WITH GLASS
FUSION:
You will learn to combine the art of mosaics and fused
glass to create unique patterns, images and objects. You will
work with stained glass, porcelain and vitreous glass mosaic tile,
bits of broken china, glass marbles and squiggles and found objects.
STAINED GLASS
PATTERNS- LEADED WINDOW:
Learn to create a traditional style stained glass window.
You will construct this panel using lead came (channels) and will
have fun selecting beautiful colored glass that will truly make
your project one of kind. You’ll also learn techniques;
in cutting, soldering, adjusting and creating patterns using different
shapes of lead came (channels) that can be used to finish your
creation. Come build with us!
STAINED GLASS
– COPPER FOIL PANEL:
For students who have completed the Intro to Stained
Glass Class or who have previous stained glass experience. This
class is designed to perfect and refresh basic copper foil techniques
and build advanced skills in cutting, foiling and soldering. Students
are free to create and select their own designs and projects.
STAINED GLASS
– LEAD CAME WINDOW / PANEL:
There is more to Stained Glass than copper foil. This
class covers traditional stained glass window and panel construction
and techniques using lead came (channels) which are cut and fitted
to conform to each piece of glass in the pattern. Due to the precise
pattern fitting, previous stained glass cutting experience is
required.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Fund Raising Projects …make an object with fused
glass that will create “the buzz” at that silent auction.
A great group project that everyone can participate in and enjoy.
